Hello, I am Alexis

I work as a project manager, a parent, and an expatriate living in Paris, France.

A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.

How It Began

Moving to France wasn’t in the long-range plan. As with many expatriate transitions, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more substantial.

The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Daily chores seemed more complicated than they ought to be.

The Adaptation Phase

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the job. But gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began constructing something that felt secure.

Why I Created Lumen Canvas Resonance

Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in France.

What This Site Is (And Isn't)

This site is:

  • Practical experience gained from living in France
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated whenever something truly changes

This site is NOT:

  • A tourism authority resource
  • A platform for sponsored reviews
  • A generic travel journal

Looking Ahead

Our time in France continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we find.

If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Alexis
